The aim of the Civil Engineering Graduation Programme is to train construction site managers who can adapt and keep up with technological and administrative developments in the construction sector, who can combine engineering and managerial skills in a dynamic environment to run and administer construction projects.
Degree holders will be able to solve practical and technical problemmes using the scientific research methods they will acquire during the training they will receive while undergoing the graduate program.
The programme focuses on teaching students how to manage construction related projects, to provide professional training in various related fields and to become decision makers by using new techniques, approaches and understandings in the subject of civil engineering.
Graduates may seek employment as office managers in construction companies in departments’ related to managing, supervising, planning, and calculating costs and risks of construction projects.
Students can chose between a thesis and a non-thesis degree.
Admission Requirements for Master Degree Applicants:
Applicants for Master programmes should hold a Bachelor Degree from an accredited university, college or equivalent institution.
English Language Requirements:
In addition to the academic entry requirements, there are also English Language requirements for direct admission into the degree programmes. Students who scored minimum 6.0 from the IELTS examination within the last two years, or an equivalent score from other international English language proficiency examinations will be exempted from the EUL EPS programme. Students who have other international certificates to prove their English language level should contact EUL EPS to get information about their certificates’ equivalence and countenance. Students who have no documents regarding their English language level are required to take the EUL EPS Placement Test. If successful, these students are directly sent to the Faculty for their intended programme of study.
Required Documents for Postgraduate Degree Applicants:
• A completed EUL Postgraduate Application Form
• A photocopy of your Passport, ID Card or Birth Certificate
• Official University Transcripts & Course Descriptions of all university-level courses taken
• Attested photocopies of Diploma/Degree Certificates received from a University or equivalent institution
• Certified copies of English translation of all qualifications
• Documentation of English proficiency
• A completed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Non-Thesis Civil Engineering Graduate Programme
Requirements for the non-thesis graduate programme are 10 courses (30 credits), and a term project. Students are expected to complete the courses in 2 semesters (fall and spring) and to present a term project during the summer.
Thesis Civil Engineering Graduate Programme
Requirements for the thesis graduate programme include 7 courses (21 credits), a seminar and a thesis to be completed in 1 year. Students are expected to complete courses in the first 2 semesters and to complete the rest of the requirements in the following year.
